Better Gmail is probably the best that I know of, but for more customization, I recommend:

This one is useful if you're into taking advantage of Google's advanced search operators.
I just realized that a few of the other ones I use at work aren't relevant for everyday surfing, so I'll leave it at that. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me occasionally seeing updates to this blog =p
